Ole Scheeren discusses a range of topics with Pin-Up's Katya Tylevich. Addressing his projects in North America, amongst them the new store concept for Dean & DeLuca, or his latest projects in Europe such as Riverpark Tower in Frankfurt, the discussion revolves around the spectrum of scale and of the various contexts his office is engaged in.
Asked about Buro-OS' involvement in the United States, Scheeren said: "Clearly we’re in a moment in which large parts of society seek redefinition — a redefinition of meaning. And I do believe that architecture can be one part of redefining society. America is still a country with big ambition and a courageous view of the future. I think it could very well be a fertile and exciting ground for new prototypes. There is potential here."
